Hi…I installed PMS few days ago on my laptop with windows 7 to connect to xbox360…….but with some avi files had an error like if the type of files was not supported……but the same files can I reproduce with the Media Player streaming……on the xbox appears : filename.avi[Mencoder][Subtitles ] I need change the configuration???

First of all you have to look which version of PMS you are using. Current version 1.50.1 contains a bug with itunes library scan: http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12441&p=64601#p64601
One can fix that with advanced knowledge only (download PMS source code, patch it, compile it) or has to wait for a release which containes the bugfix (probably 1.50.2 or later).

Hi, again, i`ll try to explain my problem in english, I`sorry, but my english is not fine. If you can answer me in spanish, or in easier english….
I need urgent help.I installed agai itunes, becouse before psm not detects itunes in a diferent place of my instalation, but it doesn`t detect itunes. How can I do that?
What`s the rute (way) that psm uses to detect itunes?
I tried to do that in share folders, including where the itunes is, but it doesn`nt detect itunes neither.
Please, help me!!! I have a lot of soncs and librarys in itunes and I wish to see that in ps3!!!

Buenas tardes,
necesito ayuda urgente!! he desinstlado e instalado de nuevo itunes por si la ruta que utiliza pms es otra, y sigue sin detectarme itunes, ni añadiendo la ruta manualmente en carpetas compartidas. ¿como puedo hacer que me detecte la biblioteca?
Que ruta de busqueda de la biblioteca utiliza la pestaña de configuración de psm en “show itunes library?
Por favor…ayuda…muchas gracias!!

Tengo un problema, ya que no me detecta la biblioteca de itunes, a pesar de tener habilitada la pestaña correspondiente.
Como podria solucionarlo?

No, PS3 with official firmware works fine. No, nothing to be installed on PS3, only on your Windows/MacOSX/Linux PC/Notebook…

PMS is installed on PC/Notebook and uses DLNA / UPNP to communicate with PS3 and other DLNA-compatible renderers. DLNA / UPNP is standard functionality of PS3.

Hola Atari ojala me puedas ayudar.
He tratado de configurar el pms ya lo instale pero siempre me sale la x ya desconecte firewall y av tambien pero no logro q aparezca simepre me dice The server should now appear on your renderer pero no aparece nada utilizo w7 ya desbloque la red y di permisos alguna otra cosa q pueda hacer?? te agradezco de antemano tu ayuda saludos.

i installed pms but always appears the X i tried to unblock my network also disconnected the fiwerall as well my av and always appears the server shpould now appear on your renderer what can i do to make it work i use w7 so i hope you can help
