Irgendwie hab ich gerade so nen Ohrwurm – Englisch-Unterricht in der 5. Klasse, der Folk Song “little brown jug”…

Heute habe ich in der Arbeit am “Computer-based online test” des Spracheinstufungstests Bulats in Englisch teilgenommen.

Eine Vorabinfo besagt “C1″. Ich bin zufrieden

Beim Lesen des aktuellen XKCD-Comicstrip “The Ring” stellte ich ein Englisch-Vokabelproblem fest. Was zum Teufel bedeutet “rickrolling“? Mein übliches Nachschlagewerk, das Dictionary der TU München, lieferte kein Ergebnis. Die Lösung brachte das Urban dictionary. Hier werden umgangssprachliche englische Begriffe und Modewörter erklärt. Die Seite kann ich wirklich weiterempfehlen.

Ich wusste bis dato nicht, daß es dafür einen Begriff gibt, aber ich muß mich nun als “sleep slut” outen
